I have been making the checklist on what to bring for our trip to Georgia to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I want to make sure I won’t be forgetting anything so there won’t be any regrets.  I already have the stuff that my sister-Madon asked me to buy for her.  I also got the things that I need to send to Cebu put aside.

It is going to be a special occasion not only because I will be reuniting with my sisters and brother once again but it is Madon’s First Thanksgiving and Travis’ 30th birthday.  And with a day full of special moments, it needs to be captured.  This reminds me of my Digital Camera (yes the one that has been on a coma; Madon has a charger for it and we will attempt to revive it) and an extra flash memory to make sure I have enough space for all the pictures that will be taken during that special day.

I can’t wait any longer.  If i can just pack my bags now and go, I have done it already.  I’m just very excited!

It’s a crazy world out there.  And everytime we use our computer, we are risking outselves (and our computer)  to be attacked by worms and viruses.  These can directly and adversely affect you in many different ways.  They make your computer run real slow, installing programs that will enable others to access, steal or change your computer files.  The battle of the worms and viruses has been going on since the dawn of virtual age.  Overtime, these threats are evolving and they are certainly are growing in number and in different forms.

The heart is the most hardworking organ in the body.  From the moment that it starts beating, until the moment it stops, the human heart works tirelessly.  It continues to pump blood to all the parts of the body without pausing.  Thus it provides the power needed to live.

Our eldest sister- Raquel has been experiencing chest pains and heart palpitations.  We advised her to make an appointment with our family Cardiologist – Dr. Maureen Magsaysay-Santos.  After series of tests, she was diagnosed with Ischaemic Heart Disease.  The term was too scienfic for me that I could not tell what it was.  So, I went ahead and made my search about this disease and I came across the Heart Library presented by St. Jude Medical.  They have videos that will make us easily understand the functions of the heart and what the disease is all about.  The site makes it easier for us to understand complicated scientific and medical terms.  There are lots of good information you can find there.

It is very essential for us to take care of our heart.  Therefore, we have to be acquainted about its functions and how to take care of it.  Visit the site before it’s too late!

Who would ever imagine that for some wanna-be writer like myself, I would survive eight months of blogging and even earn money from it. It all started with a gift from Travis of my own domain hosted by a reliable web hosting service. The sole intention was to improve my writing skills and that I will have another pastime while I’m at home and he’s at work. Eventually, things have improved for me (well, maybe not my writing skills). With a personal domain, it was easier for me to establish my presence in the web.  And what more, nobody else own what’s inside my site but me.  When I heard that my friends are entertaining thoughts of venturing into paid blogging, I would advise them to get their own domain and pay a hosting service to have full control of their site and its contents.

Some people can eat what they like and still not gain pounds but lose weight.  I am not one of those people.  I too am on a struggle of keeping myself healthy and fit.  And there are excess love handles that I need to get rid of.

I could still vividly recall the Christmases I had when I was small.  Like many children, we were also brought up believing in Santa Claus and that he will come to deliver our gifts on Christmas Eve if we were nice for that entire year.  In order for Santa to have a clear idea of what we want to receive, we’d write our Christmas list which would usually consist of toys and chocolates.

Travis and I went out to go window shopping today.  We decided to do this so we will have an idea on what to purchase and how much it might cost us to buy decors and gifts for the Holiday.  However, we still ended up buying a couple of stuff which turned out to be bargain.  When we arrived home and sat on our stations, I came across Sears Layaway which allows their customers to reserve the merchandise, pay the installments and pick up the items just in time for the holidays!

Sears will offer a large selection of merchandise for lay-away, from tools, to kitchen needs, apparel and a whole lot more.  Basically the Sears Layaway program is similar in scope to the Kmart Layaway that I mentioned in my previous posts.  However, this provides the customers with the opportunity to take advantage of Sears’ products that may not be available at Kmart.

Having known about this, I went ahead and continued my window shopping this time online.  My mind began to wander as there are a lot of things to choose from.  I found this Sally Lou Fashions Shimmer Buckle Blouse which will be an ideal Christmas gift for my sister.  She will definitely look good and professional wearing it.  Since I am not much of a help for the handyman in the house, the Craftsman 154pc. Mechanics Tool Set will just be his help and my rescue.  And last but not the least  is the KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer.  Of course, I could not let this holiday pass without giving myself a treat of effortless baking.  This will just be great as I continue to explore my skills in baking and cooking.

My list will go on and on but I will have to make up which stuff to really end up buying.  Sears Layaway reflects a return to old values when you don’t wind up paying the interest a year after or so of your purchase.  This will turn out into a real good thing!
