It was three nights before Christmas when TS and I both decided to open our Christmas gifts for each other and see what’s inside our Christmas stockings. Even before then, I have been asking and pleading him to open it. Finally, that Sunday when I asked him the same plea, he said “yes” while he was making Pot Roast for dinner. He thought that we’ll have our Christmas dinner that night since we won’t be spending our Christmas Eve and Day here at home.
Our gifts were stashed in the corner of the living room beside our TV stand. (Speaking of tv stands, we need to buy a real one since the one we have is technically a smaller coffee table.) It has been there a week before Christmas and I have been shaking and feeling the ones that are for me to see if I can figure out what’s in them. But TS outsmart me since he put some cardboard surface on each item even those that are in the stocking and wrapped them individual so I won’t have a clue.

Let us not forget that the reason why we celebrate this wonderful holiday is because of Jesus. He has come for our redemption and sacrificed His life for us. It is more than just a reason, it is Love.
May you have the best season this year!

I am not going to tackle the Theory of Evolution which was coined by Charles Dawin. Nor am I going to talk about the great Philosophers’ theory of the psyche. I am not in the right position to lecture about those things. However I am the best person who can very well explain the evolution of myself.

Now that it’s holiday season, we are expected to gain a few more pounds from the start of the Halloween candies that stays around for weeks, then there’s the availability of delicious foods on the festive Thanksgiving table. Add to that account the lazy days of winter where we would rather stay in the couch than involve in some winter sport activities. And there’s the incessant eating and drinking at Christmas and New Year.
Why is it so easy to gain weight and hard to lose it? What we can do about this Holiday Gaining is not to pop a diet pill or two in our mouth but to stick to the obvious: watch what you are eating, eat less and do regular exercise. Balance party food and meals with the other meals. During the day, eat small meals that would usually include low-fat protein, fruits and vegetables and whole-grain for fiber. Don’t got to a party hungry. Just imagine the typical foods served at the party may not always be very healthful. Other than that, if you go hungry, you are more likely to overeat. Consume alcohol in moderation. Those calories consumed in alcohol are most likely stored as fat.
So, if you don’t want to be sorry after the Holiday Season, follow the tips and you can have a healthful and happy eating!

My sister – Rema has great confidence in me. She entrusted me to take care of their family’s greeting cards for the holidays. I have not been designing for the past months. My resources are outdated and I don’t have new ones. But I just could not say no especially that the Beckers has a very special place in my heart.
Mina, I hope you like it. I made two versions of it so you can choose which one you prefer. Merry Christmas!

After a short time spent in Georgia and Florida with even a longer travel time, I have finally regained my energy and I’m back blogging. The drive down South wasn’t bad at all. However, it was just so long especially crossing the state of Illinois that I wish the state would just disappear.
We arrived in Madon and Dean’s place at the expected time. Manoy Brandit and Madon was still up when we arrived. I am very pleased with Madon’s place as it is very cozy and filled with Christmas spirit. It is neat and well-adorned from the living room to the guest bathroom which has a Frog theme and Kohler faucets. We instantly felt at home!

The Thanksgiving celebration was a blast. I never expected to have an overflowing of energy coming from my end. Despite the lack of sleep after arriving at 3am EST and waking up at 7am when Rorie and Christian arrived from their overnight drive. Since then, I never stop moving around from doing groceries to cooking with TS and serving dinner.
When you are with the people you love and enjoy being with, you can never feel being tired nor bored. I just love the day and I was in great mood and I should say shape when it comes to prepping for the big feast. We had more than enough food to eat and I’m thankful for that. I am also thankful for the love that surrounds me especially the love of my family and most especially the love and support of TS. I am thankful for the company of friends and online buddies. I am thankful for good health, fine shelter and safe trip.
I am thankful for all of you who never failed to visit my site and drop comments. I am thankful for the life that was given to me and I know I will continue to be thankful for the journey ahead.

My ideal Holiday Season is to spend it with my family. Unfortunately for me, I live at least 1,187 miles away from my sisters and even much more miles from my home in Cebu. Since it is not convenient for us to be travelling that much for Christmas and New Year, we decided that our Thanksgiving trip will have to make up for those special occasion.
I have already packed my Christmas presents for my siblings. I always like to see the look on their face when they know that I got something for them. I was thinking of getting them gift baskets but since I was able to find good deals on some particular stuff, I decided to buy it instead.
Christmas has always been the time of the year that serves as the gift-giving occasion. But since I won’t be spending Christmas with my siblings, I have decided to do gift-giving on Thanksgiving instead. Actually, it doesn’t have to be on a particular occasion that one has to give. If I only have the means, I would be giving them whenever I want. But since we are still saving, special occasions like these will have to do. I hope they will like it!

The Holiday Season is a late-year season that surrounds the Christmas holiday as well as other holidays on the November/December timeframe. Traditionally, the Holiday season includes Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. However, it has now extended to the later part of Autumn with Thanksgiving commencing it. It is this season that we tend go back to our roots and be reunited with our family and its tradition.
During New Year, it is a tradition to trun our attention to the world countdown which is held in a dazzling place filled with digital signage, billboards, lights and bustling energy – Time Square. Some would in fact go there to witness the event live. With star-studded musical performances, balloons, pom-poms, confetti, a colorful pyrotechnic display and the warm company of close friends, it’s a different way to celebrate New Year in New York.
Whether you are going to New York or staying at home with your family, the Holiday Season is the season of traditions and sharing the happiness with our loved ones. Happy Holidays!
