Make way for the star of the Thanksgiving table – the Turkey! Before the good ol’ bird dominates the table of every household as the main course during the celebration, the Turkey comes in different packages (fresh or frozen, prebasting, prestuffed) and in different sizes.
The turkey can be purchased whole as in traditional manner or in parts, suitable for small families who have the preference of white or dark meat. Because there are many turkeys available in the market today, you can be sure that you’re getting exactly what you want by reading carefully the label. Look for the inspection mark by the USDA ( U. S. Department of Agriculture) to make sure that the meat is safe, wholesome and accurately labeled. You can also use the USDA Grade mark to be certain of its quality. Turkeys that are grade A are meaty, have a well developed layer of fat in the skin, and are practically free from pinfeathers, bruises, cuts, tears on the breast and legs, and broken bones.

Travis’ birthday won’t be soon. But when November 28 comes, he will be 30. I want to make it special for him. A party is not possible since we are planning to drive down to Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family. Travis is one of the selfless person I’ve known. He know how much I wanted to spend a holiday with my siblings and he’s gonna give me just that even if it means his birthday celebration will be sacrificed.
The package that I ordered for him arrived today as expected. I was excited the entire day from waiting for the UPS guy to wrapping the gift and waiting for TS to be home. I think I am more excited than TS that I decided to give the gift to him today rather than waiting for his birthday. When he arrived home, I took his backpack from him and I proudly handed him my birthday gift.
Travis is not very good with words. All he said was, “a gift for me?” and “thank you, wifey!”. But when I looked into his eyes, I can feel his happiness as a thin blanket of tears covering his beautiful blue eyes and his lids turning red. He didn’t cry but he kissed me many times and each kiss is as passionate as the other. It is the certain look on his face and the appreciation that really made me want to get another gift for him. I want to spoil him as much as he spoils me. But I have a limited resources unfortunately.
What he got this time is one of the items in his Wishlist. A Lightscribe DVD ±R DVD Burner, a 30-pack Disc of Lightscribe DVD+R and DVD+R 100 Packs Cake Box Disc. He can crash it out of his Wish List while I save my way for the next one. The man of my life truly deserves it and more! I love you, Hubby!

Today we remember the sacrifice, the hardwork and the exhibition of love of our brothers and sisters who fought for our nation. Let us take some time to reflect on the unselfish deed that they do for our safety. Let us honor all those, living or dead, who served in times of peace as well as in war on the US armed forces. To our Veterans, we honor you today.

Travis & Jacy’s Jack O’ Lanterns
First of all, I would like to greet everyone a Happy Halloween! Whether you are dressing up for some Halloween Party, bringing your kids for Trick or Treating or simply staying at home waiting for Trick or Treaters to come, this holiday is one of the busy holidays of the year.
Travis and I carved our pumpkins last Sunday. It was my very first and I regretted choosing a difficult pattern. My first masterpiece turned out to be a some-what disaster. If you noticed, my cat only has 1 whisker and I almost poked her eyeballs out. But in the end, it still looks pretty good especially when the candle is lit inside it.

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when TS took me for a ride. We went to the Asian Store to buy some of my ingredients for the Pancit Canton that I am going to bring for Betty’s Retirement Party the following day. After we got what I needed, he took me to a town called Belle Plaine where Emma Krumbees Orchard and Farm is situated.

Today is my birthday and I can’t thank you enough for the messages, cards and gifts. You really made my day special. I’m not good in writing so instead of expressing my gratitude in words, I decided to put it in my own way. This theme is called the Birthday Surprise. This is my gift to all of you who made me feel special. I’m sure this theme will be of use to you when your special occasion calls for. I hope you like it!

March is a very special month for me. For one, it is the same month that I step my foot on the American soil. March 7 will mark my 1st anniversary. Though my first year has proven to be unproductive and not bountiful for me and my better half, it does not strip us from the hope that we can change and improve our state of living. Things have been pretty busy with me for the past weeks since that week of Thanksgiving. I had a very wonderful time with my sister-Rosarie visiting us here in Jacksonville. Each moment was precious. From cooking breakfast with her to St. John’s Town Center to simply laying in bed talking about anything and everything… it was just amazing being reconnected to my sister again. Now I get to realize the great and wonderful feeling to have someone to share everything with. With her being around, I get to put make-up on my face once again, dressing up nicely and being confident. But most of all, showing off my cooking skills was the big part of it. hehehe! The three-day period of us being together was short but it was definitely worth it. I am looking forward to spending more time with her. When she left, all that’s left was me and Travis. The condo seemed quiet and the stillness of the place is very much nnoticeable. Of course, I have no one to giggle with as we all know TS is a serious person. Although I share loads of laughter with my hubby, the laughter you share with a sister, a friend is very much different. Read the rest of this entry »

Day Neds, thank you for such act of kindness. You have not only given me your friendship and this sexy top but you have given me a little more of your power and confidence in wearing a sexy top like this. This top reminds me of “blusang itim” pero yellow lang coz this brings out the inner beauty in you. Read the rest of this entry »
