It is in our natural being to develop a romantic relationship or maybe even fall in love. But there may be obstacles that keep us from meeting the love of our lives in today’s world. Depending on your lifestyle, it is difficult to find the right person. Before I met my true love, it was difficult for me to go dating or even meet the possible Mr. Right. For one, Tatay doesn’t approve of us going out for security reasons. I am also not fond of the bar scenes and getting a potential boyfriend from there. So, when every girls would go out to party all night, me and my sisters also stayed up all night either playing online games or simply meeting people online.
In the last 10 years or so, online dating has been developed as a solution for lonely hearts to find their soul mates. Online dating is simply the means of meeting people.
The variety of dating sites is constantly growing, with many sites focused on very specific groups or interests. True.com is one of the safest online dating and relationship site endorsed by Psychology Today®. No other internet dating site provides a criminal background screening and Single Certification. What’s more is you can sign up for free and you can search for free!
Think you can’t find love on the internet, or that you’ll get conned? Think again because my bestfriend-Christine met her husband-Graham through a dating site and they are now happily married for 7 years. They are my inspiration and it was through Mami Chrissy’s effort of posting a public profile for me, that my True Love – Travis found me. I am happily married with Travis for two years now and we wouldn’t change a thing about finding love on the internet.

I grow up where public transportation is such an ease. Walking is the least option to get to your destination. Even going to the nearby market, there’s a choice of riding either a “tricycle” or the “tri-sikad”. For long distance, there’s the public utility jeepney and for longer trips, there are buses which has frequent scheduled trips.
When I went to the Netherlands, public transportation is laid out pretty good that makes it very convenient for a commuter like myself. The trains and the buses are very reliable and their schedules synchronize perfectly. Bicycles are an accepted and integral part of the transportation system. If you don’t have a bike, walking is an option with the short distance to endure which is just right for a daily exercise.

Two days ago, I had this tingling or burning sensation inside my mouth specifically at the back of lower lip. I thought it was nothing so I didn’t do anything about it until I accidentally hit the same spot while I was brushing my teeth last night.
When I woke up this morning, I got this small, shallow but painful ulcer in my mouth which makes eating and talking uncomfortable. I got canker sore. Let us not confuse ourselves with canker sores and cold sores. They may sound close but they are not the same. Cold sores, also called a fever blister are groups of painful, fluid-filled blisters. Unlike canker sores, cold sores are caused by a virus and are extremely contagious. Also, cold sores typically appear outside the mouth – usually, under the nose, around the lips, or under the chin while canker sores occur inside the mouth.

There are many high technology and sophisticated phones that are surfacing the market these days. The iPhone has made the touchscreen feature popular on handheld devices as part of the range of AT&T cell phones. They continued to master it plus more upgrades with the release of their iPhone 3G still exclusively available for the same service provider. Not to be left behind, the leading producer of smartphones-Blackberry will be challenging the iPhone with the same technology with their release of the Blackberry Storm which will become one of Verizon cell phones. Have you ever heard of the Android phones? These type of phones caters an open-source platform that will allow users to create their own applications. Don’t think of this as something that will come in the future. It is already here and is a member of TMobile phones. They call it the Tmobile G1. Aside from the touchscreen feature, this phone brags about being more customizable than any other phones. Sprint has a wide variety of Sprint phones to choose from. Among them, it is the Samsung Instinct that goes closest to the level of iPhone and such in terms of technology and sophistication.
After all these cutting-edge technology developments that these cellphone manufacturers have invested, would there still be a hope of getting a nice free wireless phone (perhaps not that high-end) if not at least at an affordable price?

One of the best things in the morning is waking up to the chirping sounds of the birds. Birds tippy-toeing on my patio are a delight to my sight. Inviting them to stay and visit more often is challenging but I should say a rewarding pastime. One day, I scattered bread crumbs all over my patio floors just to attract them and encourage them for more visits. Such technique works and at least 6 of them were enjoying the free feast.
In the wintertime, food can be hard for birds to find, especially smaller birds like chickadees or finches. So I decided to buy a Bird Feeder for my feathered friends. Providing a bird feeder allows them to survive the bitter cold and food-poor season, and is a great act of charity on my part, as well.
I will be setting up my Bird Feeder first thing in the morning. This is my other way to commune with nature and provide sustenance to the avian population in my area. I’m so excited to see how many dinner guests are coming.

A blogger like myself spends enough time to compose a post, edit and publish them before we can sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of our day. Typing alone is a tedious task. Although I consider myself an intermediate typist which is a skill I got from my Tatay, I still wish there would be something that would improve not only my speed in typing but also my accuracy. If you can type fast, you save more time. The amount of time you save you can spend it to do other things that you enjoy doing. So, I invested my time on training myself by using online typing exercises. Although it has helped me improve my typing skills, it was still not enough.
Then I came across a challenge- Dragon’s typing speed test! I was challenged to type the words that would flash on the screen while my challenger types the same words but handsfree. Read the rest of this entry »

The Vikings and the Saints certainly entertained fans in the stand and in the couches for close to three and a half hours of Monday Night Football. And when all the action stopped and the clock finally showed 00:00, the Vikings came out a 30-27 road winner.
It wasn’t a smooth win for the Vikings. The Saints had their home field advantage with a raucous Louisiana Superdome crowd. The absense of E. J. Henderson who is one of my favorite defensive player hurts the team. The Saints made the first touchdown of the game. But the Vikings didn’t give up so easily and they manage to overcome all the negative energy. Even the impressive Saints passing game with the hot hands of Brees and the riveting performance of Mr. Bush did not stop the Vikings from notching their second victory of the season and their first road win of the 2008 campaign.

When it’s sunny outside and the sun is shining brightly, instead of joining other people to enjoy the sun, I usually end up staying indoors. It is at those times that I would usually get severe headaches, feel dizzy and nausea. My family and friends tell me that it could be my eyes. I should have it checked and get myself a prescriptive eyeglasses. I am hesitant because of the price tag that comes along with consultation and the eyeglasses itself. So, I just had to endure it and waste my time indoors instead of doing it outdoors. That’s why when it’s sunny outside and I’m well, I make the most out of it. I’d go fishing or do just about anything and everything. Read the rest of this entry »

My frustration to take a good picture from my camera phone has led me to check on my comatose- Kodak Point and Shoot digital camera. To my surprise, there is still a little bit of life left in it. Luckily, I was able to take pictures of the the lake view from our apartment (the same view from the bedroom and living room). I tried to take a picture that would closely capture how I see it. This is the closest it can get.
In the picture you will see the private dock of the complex. I made a zoom to capture the thin stretch of island that I mentioned in my previous post. All of the pictures are taken inside our unit since I wanted you to have an idea of the view that I always stared at from the inside in our living room or in our bedroom. Don’t mind the glass doors, those will be gone and will be replace with new ones this week.
I did not bother to take pictures inside the unit. It still looks empty and we are slowly buying furniture one at a time. Right now, it seems like a Japanese setting with black-brown contemporary wooden tables. Our temporary sofa air bed gave up on us today. Instead of an elevated sofa with arms and back rests, it is now one layer flat on the floor. Travis’ huge office desk is dominating the dining place. My kitchen is an asset. It is small, pretty and functional with its contrasting black and white accents. Which reminds me that I have dishes to take care of. I do have a dishwasher but I wash our silverware, pots and pans by hand to avoid corrosion and maintain its non-stick function.
Let your imagination wander as to how our unit looks like. The same way you let it wander for the lake view. Is it how you expected or imagined it?
