It was three nights before Christmas when TS and I both decided to open our Christmas gifts for each other and see what’s inside our Christmas stockings.  Even before then, I have been asking and pleading him to open it.  Finally, that Sunday when I asked him the same plea, he said “yes” while he was making Pot Roast for dinner.  He thought that we’ll have our Christmas dinner that night since we won’t be spending our Christmas Eve and Day here at home.

Our gifts were stashed in the corner of the living room beside our TV stand.  (Speaking of tv stands, we need to buy a real one since the one we have is technically a smaller coffee table.)  It has been there a week before Christmas and I have been shaking and feeling the ones that are for me to see if I can figure out what’s in them.  But TS outsmart me since he put some cardboard surface on each item even those that are in the stocking and wrapped them individual so I won’t have a clue.

We often have the preconceived notion that those people who are wearing eyeglasses are nerds or geeks. Nowadays, eyeglasses are used not only to have a better vision but it is now a part of one’s fashion statement. Even youngsters who used to dread to be called nerds now rely on the comfort on being like the bespectacled wizard – Harry Potter. Despite the rise of popularity for contact lenses and vision correction surgery, eyeglasses remained to be in demand.

I have been meaning to post a Christmas Greeting to everyone especially to those who have been visiting my site on times that I am not around.  Unfortunately, Christmas sneaked up on me and the next thing I know, it was over and and I left the image post on my Draft.  The Holiday Season is not over yet so allow me to wish you the very best that this season brings.

December 20, 2008. I had to get up early yesterday and go with TS to FedEx Kinko’s as I needed to print a document that will be essential for my possible employment in the future. Instead of going to his work with him, we both decided to just go to FedEx Kinko’s and do what I had to do. After that, he just dropped me at Ridgedale Mall where I waited for the bus that would take me home.

I am a Metro Transit virgin. Since I arrived here in the US, I never step foot on any public buses (except during the MN State Fair that they have special routes). I was pretty anxious. It was 14 degrees Fahrenheit outside and I still had at least 30 minutes to wait for the bus. I went inside the mall to wait for it. I checked on my mobile phone for the time every now and then.

I am not going to tackle the Theory of Evolution which was coined by Charles Dawin.  Nor am I going to talk about the great Philosophers’ theory of the psyche.  I am not in the right position to lecture about those things.  However I am the best person who can very well explain the evolution of myself.

In a development that will facilitate travel in Europe, the Swiss-EU Schengen agreement becomes operational last December 12, 2008. According to this agreement, Switzerland will start issuing Schengen visas—valid not only in Switzerland, but also in other Schengen countries. In addition, those with valid visas issued by other Schengen states will be permitted to enter Switzerland without an additional Swiss visa. This arrangement is the result of the bilateral Schengen agreement signed by Switzerland and the EU in October 2004.

It is in every child’s wish to be able to sit on Santa’s lap and whisper to him what he or she wanted for Christmas.  Unfortunately for me, this remained a dream.  Due to financial constraints, my Nanay could not afford to take us to the store to fall in line and wait for one’s turn to sit on Santa’s lap nor can she afford to pay for the picture with Santa.

My dream came true when I was given the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap this afternoon.  The good thing is, I don’t need to be in the queue nor I have to be in the mall for it.  Santa invited me to upload my photo online and the picture that I chose was the lastest one that I got; wondering if Santa can still recognize me from way back then.  If you got a wish like mine, fret now because you will also have your chance.  I got a video of it and shared it to my sisters – Madon, Rorie and Rema.  I also sent it to TS.  They really think it was funny.

I have made a couple basic Friendster Layouts.  It was just something I did when I was bored and had nothing to blog about.  If I get more time, I will eventually make some more themes and maybe something that has a little more tweaks to it than just backgrounds, colors and headers.

I woke up one morning and stayed in bed wide awake staring at the ceiling asking myself what’s in store for me this day.  All of a sudden, my buzzer went on and there’s my answer.  “I have a package for you”, was all I can hear from the postlady on the other end.  I was not expecting any parcel to arrive this early.  I did make a few online purchases some days ago but their delivery date does not come near to this day.  Unlike the UPS and other delivery guys, the postlady prefer that I’d meet her in the Great Hall.  It was not too much to ask and I needed my daily exercise too, so I rushed towards the Hall and got a pretty good size package.
