A Sad Farewell…

euro2008ue7 A Sad Farewell...Yesterday, after a bitter lost against Russia during the Quarterfinals of Euro 2008 (Football Tournament), the most capped Dutch player of all-time took his sad final bow. The 37-year old Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar made his final appearance on the International Football League after the Russians took away Van der Sar’s chances of ending his career gracefully by winning the finals. He made a number of vital saves at St. Jakob-Park on yesterday’s game but was powerless to keep Russia at bay as Dmitri Torbinski and Andrei Arshavin scored in the last eight minutes of extra time.

The announcement of his retirement was made before the game. Many fans including myself was sad to hear about it and many of us will surely miss that beautiful face by the goal. Although Van der Sar ended his international career, he will continue to play one more season with the Manchester United until March of 2009. So, it won’t be a long farewell ‘coz we will continue to see that talent and beauty of course until he will make his final wave.

    Jacy,

The Css box is fixed but it was late last night when I got the
message so I haven’t attempted a theme yet. I am not
patient enough. Today is sunny here but it’s still
not as warm as it usually is this time of year. It does
make it nice for sleeping at night though. It’s hard to
sleep when it gets too hot.

Hope you are having a good day. Thought about going
to church yesterday but I was up the night before with
an allergy attack and got to bed very late so was too
tired to get up. I had to go to an appt. a couple of
weeks ago though at St. Mary’s and stopped
by the chapel for a couple of minutes. I can’t tell you
how good it felt to kneel in front of the tabernacle.
It felt like coming home. That’s the only way I can describe
    it.

    jacy,

i have been thinking about multiply themes and my thought is,
nice as all those themes are, they should be all deleted. they
aren’t going to work after the update. the only thing we can
do now is add new ones, updated ones. the theme authors
have been working on making new ones and updating old
    codes.

    jacy,

a month or so ago they changed the way you upload themes
and it took us a little while to figure it out. that would
be nice if there was an easier way to do it.

the reason i mentioned it is because none of those themes
would pass the validator now. they would all have to be
recoded and nobody is redoing all their themes. they are
only redoing faves and letting the rest go.

you have so much to do. you must be incredibly busy. you are
in my thoughts and prayers girl.

    jacy,
that is totally understandable and you need a job so you can live.
you spent a couple of months away from your hubby so you need
to make up for lost time lol. i can still keep up with you here. even
if you never come back to multiply there is still your blog here. at
least i get to talk to you. that’s what matters to me.
