“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” Trailer

July31

I have always been a Harry Potter book and movie fan.  I have been following Harry’s adventure in every flip of the books’ pages.  It was fun and I can’t wait to see this next sequel.

The teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has debuted online, and offers a glimpse at what’s in store for everyone’s favourite boy wizard.

The first look at author J.K. Rowling’s sixth installment in the Potter saga arrives ahead of the film’s November release.

Somber in tone, the highly-anticipated trailer shows benevolent wizard Albus Dumbledore looking into the past. There’s also a glimpse of the young Tom Riddle, who grows up to become the wizarding world’s most malevolent force, Lord Voldemort.

“I can make things move without touching them,” a young Lord Voldemort says in a sinister voice. “I can make bad things happen to people who are mean to me.”

“I can speak to snakes, too,” he adds. “They find me, whisper things.”

The trailer then cuts to scenes of fire, destruction, and a shot of Ron Weasley lying on the floor.

Directed by David Yates, the latest Potter film follows the trials of Harry as he embarks on his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The film also lays the foundation for Potter’s final battle against Voldemort as told in the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

    jacy,

so you have read the last book?my mum in law has the complete book and i started reading it while i was still pregnant.and i could not put that book down except when i was literally falling asleep while reading it. I could not believe how the author made up this story. It takes more than just imagination it takes i dont know, over your world perhaps?

the imaginative way she makes thigs work and the twist and turn of the plot of each story will really keep a gripping hold of you until you tumble into the misty abyss of the story itself. flip by flip of the page sucks you in deeper and deepr into the realm of wizardry and magic and it makes you question that maybe, just maybe it could be true or could they be reallyl out there like our fascination with the aliens.

the book is way better than the movie if i may say so coz you can make it your own and make an explotion of characters come to life in a different way that the movie would portray.like tonk ( i invisioned her with very soft yet strong face and a colorful outfit and not just the hair).

there you see jacy, your blog made me into a blumbering fool, heheheh…but truely i did enjoy the book.i cannot wait to see this next installation of the book.

    lod

    hello lods!

i agree with you 100%. i’m exactly the same as you, the only reason i would put the book down is when i fall asleep but it happens frequently lately. hehehe!

i do like the book in comparison to the movie. because in the book, you are not limited. your imagination is endless. j.k. rowling did a good job in stimulating your imagination and feeding it with exact words that would spark images and pictures on your mind.

i’m glad my blog has exercised you and is warming you up for your own blog. hehehe! now, i have someone to talk yada-yada about Harry Potter!

I have to admit jacs that the whole time I was glued on the Harry Potter movies, it was more because of you. I read only one book- the first one. The second one, i started…but then I had to give up. As much as I love books, I think I would rather read self-help books. And especially when they started making the films, the lazy girl that is me was telling me that I’d rather wait for the movie. It’s one and the same, anyway. Or at least that’s how I justified my laziness.

    manang ror,
i think it was not just because of me. reading the book is your alibi to be in contact with your crush. admit it?!!! hehehe!
the movies are good too because most of them are how i envisioned it. you can see Harry come to life. so, you can choose which one to borrow, books or my dvds?

shhhhh! ayaw’g saba! yes alibi to at first. But since that time when I misplaced the second book, I decided to act like I didn’t borrow it- ug nakalimot ra man pud sya. wahahahah! And as it turned out, I was enthralled by the DVDs to the extent that we would have our own DVDs before my crush could acquire one. Thanks to our very own Jack Sparrow…our Pirate. He knows who he is. hehehe!

i can’t wait to watch the film. but for me ive always liked the books than the films, i dunno if thats how u felt about it too. the movies man gud seems bitin. lahi ra jud ang book para nako, hehe.

oh btw, im back na diay jace. hehe. thanks for the visit sa akong blog. dili to ako training kang Jeff to about electrical stuff sa iya work. back to blogging na sad ko ani. i know my time will be limited na coz ill start working tomorrow na. but still im not gonna give up blogging, hehe.

it’s nice to know that you are back. you shouldn’t give up blogging especially you enjoy it and you are good in talking about anything and everything. let it be your output. good luck for tomorrow. i’m the one excited for you!

wooohooo! daghan na ta te jen. let those kids back home enjoy the book that you left for them. i’m sure they are going to love it!

among us commenting this blog, we all prefer the book over the movie. you’re right, it seemed bitin and for someone who has already read the book, our imagination has gone leash of which the movie can’t keep up.

Oh yeah! I just remembered. The release date has been pushed back. Originally due out November 21, 2008, the movie is now going to be released July 17, 2009.

There is not a delay in production, Warner Bros. just wanted to take advantage of an open slot in the busy summer movie line up. The push will not affect the Deathly Hallows schedule.

Guess we have to wait much longer huh?
