September has almost come to its end.  The entire month really gave us a roller-coaster ride.  We were happy, pleased and excited for one moment and before we knew it, there’s the big drop that literally brought us tears.

Travis and I were excited of finally being able to get our own place.  It’s yet another step closer to our dream.  We went to look at several places and when we found the one that we like with a wooded view, we did not hesitate to make an application.  Little did we know that the management of the said apartment are too critical about credit rating/score.  Unfortunately, we got rejected and that time we feel defeated, sad, and on the verge of depression.

The support and prayers of our families helped us through.  The comfort of friends made us feel better.  But still the thought of considering back to Florida scared me.  We gave our chances here in Minnesota one last time.  We looked at another apartment and when I step inside the unit, I was awed.  The lake view just swept me away but I stopped myself before I start to daydream of decorating the unit and living in it.  We have to go through the application process and it’s gonna be another nerve-wracking experience.  The waiting was driving us nuts.  They told us to expect a call from them on Friday, September 26 but no call.  When Travis called them, they asked us to wait for another day.  The more we were nervous.  Anticipation grew into anxiety as the the month gets closer to its end and we’ll definitely be dead when the deadline falls on us.  It was mid-day of Saturday when Travis broke to me the pleasant news.  We got approved!

Today we signed the lease and we’re moving in tomorrow.  We can continue building our dreams here in Minnesota.  There is no turning back now.  We are willing to take another rollercoaster ride if we have to.  As long as we have each others hands to squeeze everytime the sudden drop happens and we have each others smiles to enjoy the ride.
