Potluck at Work!

February20

Tomorrow is our potluck at work.  It is also the birthday celebration of Rosee – my teammate and mentor.  After work, we will be feasting on different kinds of food and then maybe decide where to go from there.  We might be going to play pool or bowling depends on what ideas these guys will come up with.

I am lazy to prepare something to bring to the potluck.  I was thinking bringing some pop but 2 people already pledged for it.  So TS and I wen to Snyders to purchase couple bags of chips.  While I’m there, I also bought new make-up for myself.  Upon check-out, the person on the counter has a difficult time because the barcode scanners doesn’t seem to work.  He has to manually encode each item.  It was okay though since we are not in a hurry.

I’m sure many of you have attended a potluck.  What do you usually bring?  I’d like to fish out for more ideas so that on our next pot luck session, we will be able to bring something and maybe invest some time to prepare it.  Any ideas?

Try chicken adobo. Remember former US Ambassador Cocoy Romualdez, brother of Imelda Marcos? He used to be known for his adobo diplomacy – giving adobo to U.S politicians and government officials.

I agree with them Jacy. Use chicken wings for adobo and top it with spring onions. Remember my recipe? http://www.hazelholbrook.com/2008/12/adobo-chicken-wings-with-lemon.html#comments

Or you can also go for a lumpia Philippine style. One time when we went to Tim’s reunion and we had to bring a dish, I made lumpia and someone asked me if I made lumpia. He expected me to bring some because I am a Filipino and he loves lumpia too. He’s an American Man, Tim’s classmate. hehehe.. Good Luck girl Jacy. Miss yah!

i was thinking about making lumpia, girl. however, what was stopping me is that, it might not be as good as it is when it is still crispy. unless i bring a deep fryer in the office. hehehe! i miss you too girl!
