About Bracelets

FBB033b 300 About BraceletsBracelets are great gifts for any occasions and for men and women alike.  They came from varied forms and worn depending on the dress style and is dictated by fashion.  Back in the early years, bracelets are used not only for decorative purposes but it also has some religious connotation attached to it.  In Southern Mesopotamia for instance, ancient Sumerians wore bracelets along with other jewelries like necklaces and earings to show off their wealth.  As such, they are symbols of status.  In Latin America, bracelets are worn to protect against the evil eye or the excessive admiration or envious look by others.

Bracelets have become popular nowadays.  The bracelet you wear actually reflects your lifestyle and your stance.  Like for instance, leather bracelets are fit to complement a punk and or sexy look.  Sports bracelets are used for various awareness, information and charity campaigns.  They are likened to the awareness ribbons which are used in similar purposes.  Charm bracelets carry decorative pendants which are signifiers of the important things of the wearer’s life.  Just by looking at the person’s charm bracelet,  you can already have an idea of what the wearer values.

There are still a lot more kinds of bracelets but my personal favorite are silver bracelets.  Not only that these are classy but they can match to almost any type of clothing.  As such, they can be worn on a daily basis.  Howabout you, do you have a personal favorite?
