Leftover Spaghetti Pasta?

2588665 Leftover Spaghetti Pasta?Last night, I prepared Spaghetti Meatballs (Beef Balls actually) for dinner. I have no special techniques in preparing it. I Just did the typical and sensible style of cooking the pasta and the sauce. It actually turned out pretty well. I’ve never seen Travis dumped a huge portion of it on his plate. And to prove his satisfaction of the dish, he actually brought some for his lunch at work.

Last night was just an almost perfect performance. I ran short on my estimation on the amount of pasta to cook which leaves me with some leftover cooked spaghetti pasta. I don’t want to throw it away so I just have to figure out a way to use it for my lunch. I just grabbed whatever I can find both in the fridge and in my pantry. And here’s what I came up with…

SPAGHETTI EGGS AND BACON

Ingredients:

  • leftover cooked plain pasta or noodles
  • egg/s (1:1 ratio with cup of pasta)
  • strips of bacon
  • seasoning (salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and italian seasoning)

Procedure:

  1. Fry strips on bacon until cook.
  2. Add the leftover cooked pain pasta or noodles. Stir until headted through.
  3. Beat eggs in small bowl and add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add beaten eggs to pasta in the frying pan. Stir until eggs are cooked.
  5. Sprinkle your desired seasoning.

That was easy and it really did give me a fill.  It’s the closest I can get to a carbonara without the cheese.  It gave me the protein and the carbo that I need to seize the day.  I’m sure you too can come up with other ideas to make use of those leftover pasta instead of just throwing them in the trash.  Bon appetit!

Sorry I don’t have a picture.  I was too hungry to even think of getting the camera.  Maybe next time?
