Despite the economic crisis in our country and many people had been laid-off their jobs, I am so blessed to have a real good start of 2009. Tomorrow I will be starting as my career here in the United States as a Mortgage Assistant. I must admit that I have almost given up searching for a job. I just let my recruiters take care of my job hunt and Office Team definitely did a great job. My Staffing Manager Tami Olsen has been very enthusiastic about giving me a job. She made everything easy for me. But of course, all these comfort was after I met with another Staffing Consultant at a different branch and discussed my options and goals. I also took a variety of assessments (mostly skills) and they were pleased with my scores.
It is nice to be part of a big company. The company that I am working with is a diversified financial services company providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer finance for more than 23 million customers through 6,100 stores, the Internet and other distribution channels across North America and internationally.
I will be learning more about the company and its working environment when I step my foot in the office tomorrow at 8am. I will no longer be working here at home but rather I will have a more professional setting. This would mean that I won’t be blogging as much as I used to but I won’t be saying goodbye. For now, I have to get my much needed rest and prepare for tomorrow for it sure is going to be a long day for me.

When we were young, we always have our favorite toy. Even with a number of toys that you receive from your parents, siblings or sometimes friends, there’s a particular toy that would stand out among the others. My favorite toy is Teddy Bungi. He is a lavender teddy bear with white paws and snout. I didn’t have that much toys when I was a kid so I definitely value the ones that I have.
If the time comes that I’ll be gifted with kids, I’d definitely be buying him or her with the gifts that I wish I had when I was younger. Be it a baby doll, stuffed animals or kids wagons, they will get it from their me.
What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?

Choosing a bed is one critical decision to make. Not only because beds nowadays would cost a fortune but because the wrong bed or mattress could make you restless or it will give you back problems. It is very essential for us to do our homework before we rush to the store to purchase a bed.
There are many things to keep in mind in choosing or buying a bed. But let me point out the important ones. First, we have to consider what type of mattress you would like to have. Whether it’s a soft, medium-firm or firm mattress, it is a matter of personal preference. I may be comfortable with a softer mattress but you may not be. So, it is best to decide in advance which mattress gives you more comfort and will give you a sound sleep.

What a great way to start a new year. SimplyJacy.com has earned a Google Page Rank of 2! This means that I have improved my ranking on Google’s Search Engine. So what is Page Rank?
Google describs PageRank:
PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important”.

I always keep in touch with the child in me. And I do it by playing different online games from Ragnarok to any flash games from Big Flash Arcade. I was ecstatic to learn about MagNext. It sounds like it has a lot of things to offer. I decided to give it a dry, signed up and explore the promising attributes of the site. Sure enough, I was not disappointed. The website provides a uniquely interactive platform. Each user will have a character sphere or ball that can play with other spheres. It has a variety of ways to test your agility, speed and even logic. You can even challenge other players to play with you.
I really like this interactive site and I’ll surely be playing it again and again. My favorite of the challenges is the MagNext Arena where I can play head-to-head with other people. It will test your response time and alertness. Unfortunately, there are not much people who hang around in the lobby of the arena. So, I’m inviting you guys to sign-up and join me with the fun and exciting games. If you want to try it first before signing up, you can login as a guest user. But after playing it, I’m sure you will decide to sign-up. It is just a safe and secure site where children can play and also those who are child at heart. I’m definitely recommending this to everyone!
And oh, another feature is that you can chat or dress up your virtual sphere to represent your own personality. If you go there, don’t forget to look me up or add me as a buddy. My character name is obviously simplyjacy. See you there!

Bracelets are great gifts for any occasions and for men and women alike. They came from varied forms and worn depending on the dress style and is dictated by fashion. Back in the early years, bracelets are used not only for decorative purposes but it also has some religious connotation attached to it. In Southern Mesopotamia for instance, ancient Sumerians wore bracelets along with other jewelries like necklaces and earings to show off their wealth. As such, they are symbols of status. In Latin America, bracelets are worn to protect against the evil eye or the excessive admiration or envious look by others.

It was three nights before Christmas when TS and I both decided to open our Christmas gifts for each other and see what’s inside our Christmas stockings. Even before then, I have been asking and pleading him to open it. Finally, that Sunday when I asked him the same plea, he said “yes” while he was making Pot Roast for dinner. He thought that we’ll have our Christmas dinner that night since we won’t be spending our Christmas Eve and Day here at home.
Our gifts were stashed in the corner of the living room beside our TV stand. (Speaking of tv stands, we need to buy a real one since the one we have is technically a smaller coffee table.) It has been there a week before Christmas and I have been shaking and feeling the ones that are for me to see if I can figure out what’s in them. But TS outsmart me since he put some cardboard surface on each item even those that are in the stocking and wrapped them individual so I won’t have a clue.
