Ready for the Relaunch

February2

MTP Ready for the RelaunchTS has been very busy working with our website – MultiplyThemes.com and getting it ready for its relaunch.  We have already closed a deal with a web developer and he has finished his work.  Now it is just a matter of moving the developed template from the test site to the Multiply Themes site.  As soon as TS will complete the transition, I will then start playing my part of luring new Theme Makers to showcase their themes in the site.  The website already had consistent visitors so it is just a matter of bringing in more content to the site.

I knew long before that promotional products are definitely an effective marketing strategy.  I am planning of rewarding couple posters (theme makers) who first posted 50 themes with a customized t-shirt or a tote bag.  I may also try other products like key chains and pens.  I will have to look into it more and compare the products and its cost including the mailing cost.

I am excited for the site to be up and working once again.  And I hope that there will be more theme makers who would post more themes and share their talent to others.

Jacy what is the difference between multiplythemes.com and customizedthemes.multiply.com? Why did you leave multiply? Could you be our group’s official web design adviser/consultant? Outstanding ang mga design mo iha.

    Hi Sergio!
Technically, they are the same. They both host different themes from different theme authors. The difference is MultiplyThemes.com does not have strict rules or guidelines on how to post a theme. We don’t compete with customizedthemes. We are just giving theme authors more exposure of their work and an avenue to store their themes and share it with others.

I did not leave multiply. I am just that active like I used to. Don’t have the time.

I am flattered that you asked me to be your web design adviser/consultant. I don’t think I deserve such title. I’m no pro. But I’d like to help you out if you need any. Just let me know what I can do to help.

Thanks, Jacy. I hope you will find time to have a look at the class reunion homepage that I am struggling to create for our batch (http://lchsclass1960.multiply.com) We will be celebrating our Golden HS Class Reunion in 2010, just eleven months away. Imagine a senior citizen like me, without prior knowledge with CCS basics, attempting to design an important website. Sana matulungan mo ako.

I am half-way through. Using Avlack as the base theme, I was able to replace the background image, the head banner and the title text color on the home page. But I could not locate the CSS selector to change the text color of the title of each blog post and the other item box text entries. I hope multiply designers will include a comprehensive description for each block of text in the CSS code.

I take notice of your web design and color scheme prowess. I like the brown-green main colors you are using in your homepage. The background never dominates the content but simply sets the desired mood. Other designers like to use wallpaper as background and make the homepage look like a movie trailer with transparent text background scrolling like you’re watching the credits for the production crew. Parang Friendster profile na gawa ng mga high school students!

Sana makagawa ka ng one design template (using Avlack) for class reunion—10th,20th, 30th, 40th and 50th—just changing the color scheme for each decade. We will only have to change the title or the banner.

I congratulate and support you on your new project. Keep up the good work!

i disagree girl. you are sharp and can pick up easily. you just need the proper guidance. i actually made a tutorial on how to make your own customized theme. it was hosted in MultiplyThemes.com. but with the renovation of the site, i don’t know where to find it. i will ask TS where to find it so you can read about it and experiment on it.

    hi Sergio!

I apologize. I have been busy for the past weeks and still am. I have visited your group site and you did a good job. I will try to see if I can make a theme at least 1 for your group. But what you have done/made is already good. I may not be able to match it. It might take some time though. But I will try to find time maybe this weekend.
