Great and Noble

“I long to accomplish a great and noble task,
but it is my chief duty to accomplish small
tasks as if they were great and noble.”
- Helen Keller
I just thought I’d share to you some thoughts to ponder. This is what struck me today. I ask myself, what is great and noble? Having a successful career is not just my measure of greatness and nobility. For me it is sacrificing little things to make other people more comfortable. You don’t need to do or make big things to become great. It is the little things that build up together to make great things happen.

hi sis, had connection problems so that’s why i haven’t been online for
the last few days. att is not being nice
etiher. they said i had to agree to
another year’s contract just to get a
new modem. well look if my modem is not working then i need a new one but that is just plain wrong. what they don’t know is that next monday i am being switched over to cable for
everything.

I was brought up on the idea that my best was never good enough. Still I make grandiose plans and have to remind myself that in order not to get overwhelmed, I have to break a big “opportunity” down into bite-sized pieces.
And the little things DO matter. Think of an Indy Car pit crew NOT tightening just one bolt properly and the havoc that could cause.

This is a very inspirational message mami.
It is a great feeling indeed being able to make other people’s lives better and comfortable. It is nice knowing that by being there for them, we can at least shape their children’s (esp) future for the better. And having a career that we like and enjoy the most, will somewhat fulfil just that.
Take care mami.
Good luck on being great and noble
I love you lots x

yeah I agree with you Jace . No matter how small things you’ve done as long as it makes you happy yourself and others. And you didn’t hurt no one of doing those things. That’s nobility and you’re doing great job! ….kiss, hugs from me.

That’s a good thing to do Jacy. Some people doesn’t need material things to be happy. There are small things that we can do to make things great and noble for our loved ones.

you are right, Haze. sometimes staying at home without a “career” makes me feel down. but when I remind myself with this quote, I feel better and energized to do things here at home perfectly!
