A Divided Nation
The Netherlands has faced a lot of challenges in the past. This time, its challenge came from a film called Fitna The Movie. It was produced by a right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders who wanted to provoke an international scandal using such film. The film’s title comes from the Arabic word fitna which is used to describe “disagreement and division among people”, or a “test of faith in times of trial”. Fitna was released to the Internet on March 27, 2008.
The nation is divided having different views from both ends. I also would like to hear your thoughts about this film. Do you believe that it speaks the truth? Or is it just another racial prejudice in terms of religion?
As for me, I believe that we all have faith on one Supreme Being. God, Yahweh, Allah and so much more, these may be different words but it only mean one thing, that there is someone whom we owe our lives to. I believe that this same God is loving and forgiving God.

I agree with you. I’ve been on the
receiving end, many times, of this
kind of prejudice. It’s definitely
left it’s mark on me, a mark which I’ve
been working at wiping away for the
last 3 years.

i can’t watch any more of that
it’s horrible what people

and think He sanctions
their horrible behavior
anyone who is different

we are all the same in the eyes of God.
i believe that regardless of whatever religion we have, we should condemn all those injustices and violence around us.

I have lived with prejudice for a long
time. In a way you get used to but you
don’t really get used to it, if that makes
any sense lol. I miss you so much and can’t
wait til you get home again. And I’m sure
TS misses you a whole lot more and you miss
him just as much.

I am hoping to move to northern michigan
to be near my sister and aunt and uncle.
I have a sister and brother here but they
are very busy and moving just would all
the way around give me a better life.
My sister lives in Alpena, Mich.

Yes you and I will live much closer than before.
You will be in Minn. and I will be in northern
Mi–two hours away from the U.P. and probably
not much farther to Minn.
Maybe some day we can actually meet each
other. That would be nice.

Thanks for dropping by. Elburg is about 59.7 km from where I am right now. I’m staying with a good friend here in Almere. I hope your papers will come by quickly. As long as you have all the requirements, it shouldn’t take you a long time but about 3 months or so.
