Post Vacation Blues
Post Vacation Blues or simply Vacation Blues is a malady that most travellers experience. So, what is this all about? It is usually a condition when a person returning from a vacation feeling lazy, tired, having a loss of appetite, strong feelings of nostalgia and in some cases depression. It is usually because the person longs for his/her travel experiences especially if it was an enjoyable one. The longer the vacation last, the higher the intensity of the vacation blues. Jet lag may intensity it.
I have been away for 2 months but contrary to what I thought of, I don’t seem to have such Post Vacation Blues. For one, I don’t have the luxury to time to be feeling that way. I have responsibilities to take care of and one of it is to hunt for a job and start building a career. As soon as I got back here in Minnesota, while I’m enjoying the good spring weather which includes a combination of sun and rain, I sent out my resumes online. Last Tuesday, I also meet with a Recruiter of which I got good feedbacks.
Yesterday, TS started his job at NMDP and we are officially back to reality. Sending him to work was quite sad and painful but we have to do what we gotta do. Time just went by sliding while I was cleaning and cooking. The next thing I know TS is home bringing me what I have been craving for- Bagels!!! It was a sweet gesture and it really made me feel special.
I will continue to look forward for his home-coming everyday with or without bagels. hehehe!

My Dear Sweet Jacy,
I am glad you are not feeling blue and I hope you find a job soon. You might want to head over
to Mutliply some day and start deleting some
posts. Your page is very slow again because
of the tons of posts and pics. I decided in the
end against moving so I will be staying put right where I am at. We had a fire here in my aparment building a couple of weeks ago last Saturday. It was the apartment next to me but fortunately there was a fire door between my apartment and that one. I was terrified that I was going to lose Tigger and Kiwi but they were alright. I did lose Tigger for a few days. He bit a police officer and Animal Control took him from me for 3 days. The poor little guy was terribly traumetized and he is
now back to normal. I am very grateful for that.
My bird would call the cat and look for him and when Tigger didn’t come Kiwi would start to scream.
All is well though so don’t worry about me. Hope you will be coming back to Multiply soon. As soon as you can get some important things settled. I realize those things come first. We all just miss you so!

Dear Deb,
Thank you for bringing it to my attention regarding my page. I will be back and start cleaning it up.
As for what happened to you, I know how it was to be near a fire. I had that experience too when I was still in Cebu. I’m glad that all is well with you. I was scared for your babies. It gives me a relief to know that all of you are okay now.
Where did Tigger wander when he was caught by Animal Control? It’s a good thing you were able to bring him back home. I can imagine all your babies are looking for each other.
I will be back on Multiply… soon!

Jacy,
Tigger didn’t wander. He was at home under
the bed. The police officer was trying to
help me. She was going to bring him to me.
She moved the bed and tried to get him out
and he bit her. He’d have done the same to
me in that kind of situation. I was absolutely
frantic about Kiwi and Tigger. They eventually
brought Kiwi down to me, cage and all. I was
heart broken that they took my kitty but state
law says they have to. They let him finish out
his quaratine at home because he was so little
threat. It’s too bad they took him in the first
place because the poor little guy was terribly
traumetized and it took 9 days for him to get
back to normal. He was so thin it was awful and
didn’t want to eat. I remember hearing that cats
will not starve themeselves so I just hoped and prayed that it was true. He ate enough to keep himself alive for awhile but that wasn’t much.
I am so relived that all is back to normal and my
babies are fine.
“I will be back on Multiply… soon!” Deb
says yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Deb!
I think it is a normal reaction for cats to bite if they are forced out from under the bed. Cougar did that to me when we were still in Florida. It’s sad that they have to take Tigger with them. But I’m glad that your babies are home and that all is fine.
